Lazy

Im too lazy today to think of anything special to write about so your just going to be a boring old life update, which to all 3 of my family members (75% of my total readership) is what they really want. Sorry Mark.

So not much has changed i'm still unemployeed and carefree. I've signed on at this point in time to go and do installs for APX Alarm systems over the summer, i'm not sure yet were i'm going so you can save that question for another time. Hopefully it will work out and I get a good area or i'll end up back in provo broke as a joke again, haha that would suck. I think it will be fun to get out of Utah for awhile again and go see another place. I'm going with some of my friends and the training meetings so far havn't been all that daunting so I think i'll be able to handle it ok.

I just read that Larry H Miller died on the 20 of this month, kinda odd to think about really, such a large local name here in Utah who has been around and prominent for as long as I can remember, largly in part to Mom and th Jazz. Anywho not much going on with me just living the life of the poor using all the tricks i've learned from my father over the years (hello 10 for 10 Albertsons)

All we want to do is eat your brains...

Ok so i'm a nerd, and any of my readers can attest to that fact. I've in the last 7 months or so become extremely interested in all things to do with Zombies. It stareted when I first read the book The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead http://www.amazon.com/Zombie-Survival-Guide-Complete-Protection/dp/1400049628/ref=bxgy_cc_b_img_a

Which lead me to reading World War Z, which is pretty much the like the Bible to zombie fans, both are by Max Brooks (Mel Brooks' son). Both are written in such a calm clear way that when you're done you'll start looking around at the places you live and work and think "Just how can I make this more zombie proof." I absolutely recomend both books if you want a compeling read.

As far as movies go its hard to sift through the trash and come out with gems worth your time. You of course have classic's like Dawn of the Dead to always fall back on. If you want somthing more comedy related there is Shaun of the Dead. Some of my all time favorite movies are 28 Days later and 28 Weeks later, both fantastic zombie movies. Resident Evil is cheesy and lame but worth a watch if you can catch it.

I picked up a copy of Left 4 Dead on my xbox and its amazing, its a post zombie war survival game, run and gun and survive really fantastic if you dig shooting zombies(dont we all?) I'd love to get some good suggestions from any one on any thing Zombie related that might be worth my time. I am pretty snobby when it comes to the horor genres I choose to bring into my life, so any old zombie movie wont do it needs to be really really good.

Just say no to Disney...

Ok I have a bone to pick with the Disney corporation. I refuse to wear anything with your name on it. Unless you're extremely young or very very adorably old then it is never ever ever ok to wear a giant Mickey Mouse emblazoned across your chest for all the world to see.

I dont know what it is, but I just cant take a person seriously who wears somthing like that. It's as if they are saying to me, "I hate you and i'm forcing you to hate me by my poor choice in clothing." Maybe I was just raised better than that.

Let me give you an example of this in my real life. Now i've always had this prejudice aginst Disney. In one of my comms classes i'm working on a group project with a girl who wears somthing like this about every day(Looney Tunes clothing is up there too by the way) every time she talks I just want to smack her in the back of the head and tell her to go change.

Ok maybe its not as bad as i'm making it seem to be, but really people...just say no to Disney.

WoW Head

So as you all may or may not know, i'm an avid World of Warcraft player, i'm not ashamed of this fact and i've always been pretty open about it. Surprisingly my family has pretty much let it slide through the years. Maybe its just that i've been playing for so long that they dont care any more or all the available material for jabs at it has been played out.

I've been playing since around March of 06 so just shy of 3 full years. Now I wouldn't normally bring up something like this but i'm strapped for time and I need to get this blog posted and i'm pretty much out of material for this week. So, while I wait for my Naxxrammas to get going i'll post a neat little picture of my main Character and tell you a little bit about my Wow playing experiance.

My main character(commonly called toons) is named Mookyroo. Now a name is somthing you have with you a long time, its not somthing you can change easily and you start to build a reputation with it. I originally started this toon as a low level toon for Battle grounds(Or a Twink) I played at the 29 level Bracket for a long time and when first wow expansion came out, The Burning Crusade, I decided I was going to level him to max and try it out. Back then his name was Healugood, I know lame but it was funny at the time. Later in his life I switched over to him full time from my warrior. I renamed him Enix(for only ten real life dollars).

I played on the Lothar server for many years, now the servers are like your own personal worlds, you know the players there you know the guilds and over a long enough period of time you start to be known your self. I recently transfered servers(another real life cost) to play on the Durotan server with my buddy Scott. Now leaving a realm you've played on for almost 3 years is akin to moving way during your senior year in high school. As nerdy as it sounds all my in game friends were gone, most of them resented me for leaving my guild(which was kinda full of fail) to join a more progressive and maybe a more hardcore raiding guild.

So here I am on a new server with only one person known and a new name because mine was taken :( sadness I know. Ok that seems long enough, here is a great video of a something hilarious, my treat to you if you actually read nerd post. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4KiRV2qrZk
